A native of Baton Rouge, D J cut her teeth on such music greats as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Fats Domino and Elvis Presley. D J started singing as soon as her fingers were able to hold anything resembling a microphone. After becoming the lead female vocalist of Stormy, D J's passion for music has grown and her love for various styles of music such as blues, country, rock, etc. has increased. "Stormy can play anything! I love that! There are times when I ask the band to learn a song and the first time we practice it is actually the first time we perform it live and it sounds fantastic!!!!" "One of my favorite elements of being a part of this band is how much fun we have while performing." Since traveling from state to state is a part of what we do, we like to squeeze as much fun out of it that we can!!!!
