Babin DeShay is a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of St Amant, where she resides with her daughter Jenna 17 and son Colton 12. DeShay was Stormy's first long term female lead vocalist from early 1992 through the end of 1998. She returns to Stormy after an 8-year hiatus. When asked how it feels to return to the group DeShay said: "It fells like coming home, we haven’t missed a beat!" DeShay AKA "The Dish” to Stormy band members, can be heard on several local and regional radio and TV commercials, and was the female vocalist on Stormy's CD "First Strike". During her break from Stormy, DeShay Performed on occasion with several local groups, perused solo projects and spent time in the Studio with local artist including Chris LeBlanc and Don Rich. DeShay says about her absence from Stormy, "At that time, I just felt like I needed a break and wanted to spend more time with my kids. I really enjoyed having that time with them while they were young. Now I'm rested, refreshed and vocally. I'm in better shape than ever! The band sounds great and we are doing quality material and having a blast!" By day, DeShay is a Para-professional in Special Education at a French Settlement high School and also has a part -time hair business. In her free time (does she have any?), she enjoys cooking and spending time with her children and the 2 other special people in her life, Jonathan and Hannah!
